What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Murjan Studio is a technology venture studio based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This policy covers this website only. Our ventures — including Murjan.io and Helah — operate their own products and publish their own privacy policies.

What we collect

We only collect what you type into a form. Nothing else.

  • Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you selected, your message, and your company or organisation if you choose to give it.
  • Newsletter: your email address.

We do not sell your information or use it to build advertising profiles. We do use cookies for analytics — what they are and how to refuse them is set out below.

Analytics and cookies

We measure how the site is used with Google Analytics 4. It sets cookies in your browser (names beginning _ga) so that repeat visits can be recognised as the same session, and it sends that information to Google, which processes it on our behalf. Google may process it outside Saudi Arabia, including in the United States.

What we look at is aggregate: how many people visited a page, roughly where they came from, which site referred them, what they viewed, and whether they submitted the contact form or joined the newsletter. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with anything you send us through the form.

We ask first. Nothing is loaded and no cookie is set until you choose Accept on the banner shown on your first visit. Choose Decline and no request is made to Google at all — the site behaves identically either way.

Changing your mind. Select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to switch your choice at any time. Your decision is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, and we ask again after twelve months. You can also refuse or delete these cookies in your browser settings, browse privately, or install Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

Third parties

  • Form processing. Form submissions are delivered to us through a third-party form service, which stores your message so we can read it.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics 4 receives your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. Google acts as our data processor.
  • Fonts. Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

Why we use it

To reply to you, and — if you signed up for the newsletter — to send occasional updates about the studio and its ventures. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the footer of any email we send.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To make any of these requests, email info@murjan.studio, or use the contact form and select "Something else".

We aim to respond to any request within 30 days.

Keeping it safe

This site is served over HTTPS and submissions are transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission is completely secure, so please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the form — tell us you have something sensitive and we will arrange a better channel.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
